Background
Dr. Dan Ilkovitch is a board-certified dermatologist with an extensive training record in both clinical medicine and research. He completed his undergraduate education with a bachelor of science in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the University of Maryland, and then attended medical school at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he received both an MD and a PhD. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center, followed by a rigorous residency in dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania. Following his training he worked at the Cleveland Clinic providing top medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatological care.
Dr. Ilkovitch is a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology (ABD), and also is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgeons (ASDS), and the National Psoriasis Foundation (NPF). Dr. Ilkovitch has received his own research funding, has published widely in the fields of dermatology and immunology, has lectured at national conferences, and received many awards and accolades. His clinical interests include diagnosis and treatment of medical dermatological diseases, skin cancer and melanoma, surgical treatment of skin cancer, and cosmetic treatments such as fillers, neuromodulators, and lasers. Dr. Ilkovitch also serves as a Clinical Affiliate Assistant Professor for Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University, and is involved in the dermatology education of medical students and residents. Outside of work, Dr. Ilkovitch enjoys snow skiing, kayaking, exercising, and the beautiful weather of south Florida.
